Here is the most popular Metcalf rookie card and is a great investment for all collectors regardless of net worth.
Numbered #343 the Metcalf Prizm rookie card shows him barreling downfield similar to a big ass bowling ball that no defender on earth wants to tackle.

His name and team name are centered at the bottom of the card with the “Panini Prizm” name above… the classic Prizm RC logo is placed in the top right corner… available in a number of high-end parallels that will break the bank that many collectors will pass on due to the high price tag.
2019 National Treasures RPA RC #171
This card is a little gem. It features a great horizontally printed design, with a full-body photo of Metcalf on the left in full Seahawks gear. There is a golden frame that frames the left two-thirds of the card encasing the on-card autograph, with 3 separate patches integrated into the frame.
There were just 25 of these made, and they are all serial numbered on the right-hand side of the card. The design, brand name, autograph, patches, and rareness of this card combined means that the value of it should go through the roof in years to come.

The 2019 Donruss Optic set is always one of the first on the watch list for collectors. This popular set has been around forever the 2019 design has the same simplistic beauty we have been accustomed to.

The Metcalf edition features a full body shot of him running with the ball in Seahawks gear and this gold parallel has a gold border. The whole card has a refractive surface, and the on-card autograph is at the bottom.
There are just 10 of this parallel in existence, giving them a great limited run. If you are not lucky enough to get your hands on this super rare edition there is also the usual slew of more (and some less) common parallels to choose from.
2019 Panini Prizm Auto Waves RC #343

Another set that is always at the top of the wish list of collectors is the Panini Prizm. This card actually features the exact same photograph that the Donruss set uses, which actually unfortunately slightly takes away from the uniqueness of both.
There is however still a very nice design, with the black and red uniquely shaped border of this parallel looking particularly good. The on-card autograph is at the bottom of the card, overlaying Metcalf’s legs.

With 149 produced this parallel is rare enough to be valuable but common enough to be available to any collector who truly wants to get their hands on it. There is again also a slew of different parallels that offer a great option for any collector.

This set is quickly growing in popularity and it is easy to see why. In a highly saturated market, Panini managed to pull out a novel, and really nice design that also frames the players in the superhero guise most of us see them in any way.
Metcalf is flexing in Seahawks gear on his card on top of the usual shiny silver ‘explosive’ background. The only downside to the card is that there is no autograph or patch.
The KABOOM! cards only crop up on average once per Panini Absolute case. This means that they are not numbered but they are still rare, so the value is automatically high. There is also the rarer Gold (#/10) and Green parallels (1/1).
2019 Panini Flawless Rookie Showcase Quad Patch #RS-14

The Flawless cards always have a majestic design, and this is no different. It features an upper-body photo of Metcalf in the center of the card with a unique patch in each corner. The Flawless branding and outlines are in a nice sky blue and the whole card is set on a whitewash background.

Now, this particular parallel is 1/1 so you will probably struggle to get your hands on it, but Flawless also has rookie options that featureless patches and/or autographs that are all more common.

DK Metcalf Rookie Card Value
The most expensive DK Metcalf rookie card on average is the 2019 DK Metcalf National Treasures RPA RC and the 2019 DK Metcalf Panini Immaculate RPA RC (both of which will cost well into the 4 digits).

Investment Outlook
As with any player that is still early in his NFL career, the future direction of DK Metcalf’s rookie cards is highly dependent upon what he manages to do throughout his career.

If he goes on to have a great career and maybe picks up some individual records or awards over his career, as well as good team success the card value could go through the roof. If his career fizzles out before it really gets going then the cards could essentially become worthless.
I have certainly seen enough so far to say that barring any major injuries, Metcalf’s career will not fizzle out in this way, and he is destined to do big things in the NFL. Couple this with the fact that this current Seahawks roster look capable of doing great things together and his success could come sooner or later.
These rookie cards have gained some decent value over the last 12 months but are still relatively affordable. This all means that right now is the perfect timing to pick up the cards for a bargain before the values start to shoot through the roof.
