Nolan Gorman was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 19th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. He attended Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, AZ where he feasted on second-rate pitchers who had trouble getting the ball over the plate for strikes.
It took a while and a good number of homers in the minors before the Cardinals decided to call Gorman up. Nolan was worth the wait, however, as he is already mashing homers and driving in runs at the major league level like a veteran.
Best Nolan Gorman Rookie Cards
Below are the top 3 Nolan Gorman baseball cards for those looking to invest in this young, talented prospect. Please note more Gorman cards will be released later this Summer/Fall so keep checking back for updates as Topps will surely make an appearance on this list.
2018 Nolan Gorman Bowman Draft Rookie Card #BDC117
The best Gorman rookie card by a mile in terms of future ROI and will be for the foreseeable future until Topps released a Nolan Gorman rookie card (but even then this will be #1 and Topps #1A).
Please consider the 2018 Nolan Gorman Bowman Draft Prospects Rookie Card in base refractor form (above), with an auto/refractor, or refractor/auto/colored/numbered (i.e. Yellow /25).
2018 Nolan Gorman 1990 Bowman Auto Throwback Rookie Card #90BNG
Here is a pretty cool throwback card. The 1990 Bowman Baseball Card Set is honored here and boy does it bring back memories of a day-long gone (no bills, no crying kids, no nagging wife… oh yes those were the good old days).
The 2018 Bowman Chrome Prospects will have a better ROI than the 1990 Bowman Throwback but we understand if you want to sacrifice some ROI for memories of a bet
2018 Nolan Gorman Bowman’s Best Rookie Card #B18NG
Bowman’s Best rookie cards are the second rate to their Prospects/Draft cards but do have a fanbase. Would we ever buy a Bowman’s Best rookie card? Heck no. Can you make a profit from a purchase? Yes.
Nolan Gorman Rookie Card Value
The most expensive Nolan Gorman rookie card is the 2018 Bowman Chrome Draft Auto in a low-numbered refractor (i.e. 2018 Bowman Chrome Draft 1st Prospect Rookie Card Auto Color Orange /25).

Nolan Gorman is a classic high-risk high reward type investment (actually moderate to high risk as he is a top 20 prospect). It’s a gamble but one that could pay off nicely. Generally speaking in this situation we only gamble with top 3 prospects i.e. Vlad Jr, Wander Franco, or Ronald Acuna Jr. are just some of the big names we have hammered pre-call-up in the past.
Are we going to do the same with Gorman? Pass. We hope Gorman turns out to be a great player and goes on to be an All-Star for the St. Louis Cardinals but as we just mentioned prospects outside the top 3 or so are just too risky and will cause a sharp decline in your long-term ROI.
If you want to gamble invest in Bobby Witt Jr. rookie cards as this kid is going to be an S. T. U. D.
