In our opinion, the 2020 Prizm Football Hobby Box is an absolute gold mine regarding future return on investment and is primed for a profit windfall in the short and long term. Why? Two reasons. Justin Herbert rookie cards and Joe Burrow rookie cards. Watch us open the 2020 Prizm Football box at the end of this review.

Panini Prizms has become one of the market’s most critical football card sets. The 2020 Football set features 300 non-rookie cards and 100 rookie cards. Which of the 2020 Panini Prizms cards should you place a bet on? This is the (potential) million-dollar question.

We strongly believe investing in Herbert and Burrow rookie cards will reap severe rewards in 10 to 20 years, were talking about a better ROI than most stocks. And the ideal way to invest in these two studs is via their base Prizm rookie cards, as with most modern-day NFL rookies.

Tom Brady Rookie Year Stats: 2843 yards passing | 18 TD passes | 12 INT | 86.5 Rating

There is no active player in the NFL with more cache than Tom Brady. Whenever you have the opportunity to secure a rare Tom Brady trading card, you should.

The 2020 Panini Prizm No Huddle Green Tom Brady #255 is rare. There are only five copies of this card in circulation. This alone is virtually a guarantee that your investment in the card will produce returns.

Related: The 20 Best Tom Brady Rookie Cards

The card is an attractive one. It features Brady, the Buc’s brand new quarterback, in a uniform that also made its debut in 2020. He sports the red jersey top with gray pants and matching socks.

His red Under Armour cleats coincide with his left hand’s black Under Armour glove. He scans the field, ready to deliver a strike to Godwin, Evans, Miller, Gronk, or some other Bucs pass catcher.

The card has a reflective sheen with circular pockmarks providing a unique look. Brady’s vertical likeness marks the card’s dead center. A neon green border surrounds a rounded X, in which the image of Brady is encapsulated.

The blurb commemorates Brady’s first season as a Buccaneer. It also features Brady’s stats from 2019 as the quarterback for the Patriots (some salt in the wound for Pats fans who buy this card).

Those Pats fans can solace in this card’s near-certain rise in value. This card generally goes for a high five-figure price, though don’t be surprised if you’re asked for a six-figure sum.

#5. 2020 Justin Jefferson Panini Prizm RC #398

SHOP EBAY

All parallel cards are rare compared with their base set version. Though you won’t find exactly how many Black & White Checker parallels are out there, the market has deemed them valuable. This is particularly true of Justin Jefferson’s 2020 Panini Prizm Black & White Checker RC #398.

Justin Herbert’s otherworldly rookie season at the most critical position in football kept Jets Jefferson from taking home the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

Justin Jefferson’s Rookie Year Stats:

  • 88 receptions
  • 1,400 receiving yards
  • Seven touchdowns
  • 1 Offensive Rookie of the Year Runner-up Honor

Collectors are banking on Jefferson’s continued ascent. His Black & White Checker Panini Prizm RC is going for more than $1,000, though some copies are fetching a bit less. The card has a reflective gloss with a chessboard-style border. The outline and creases of Jefferson’s white Vikings uniform take on a striking neon quality.

This image of Jefferson running after the catch in his vibrant yellow cleats has been used on other trading cards. However, it just means more on a Panini Prizm parallel rookie card.

Base Set

Panini again decided to go with a 400-card checklist for this year’s Prizm release. 300 cards feature the game’s brightest stars, like Patrick Mahomes and some from the past. This year’s rookies populate the other 100.

Adding so many rookies ensures that Prizm offers more than just the typical headline youngsters featured in most other products. As usual, this set features more than a dozen parallels.
